Andy Gray rages at Everton players after video clip emerges outside Goodison, pathetic from Blues legend
Andy Gray has left us wondering whether he cares more about Everton Football Club – or spouting absolute nonsense with Richard Keys.
Gray, 66, is an Everton legend, there are no doubts about that.
In just two years at Goodison Park, the former Scotland striker won a league title, an FA Cup and the European Winners’ Cup.

Since hanging up his boots many years ago, Gray has made a name for himself in the world of broadcasting alongside Keys.
And while many adore the Scot’s cliche-ridden commentary and analysis, it’s hard for Evertonians to tell whether or not he still feels anything for the club.
On Sunday, Everton fans put on a real show ahead of their team’s arrival at Goodison Park to play Chelsea in what was a must-win game down at the bottom of the Premier League.
The team bus was met by scores of Evertonians, many of whom had been there waiting for hours.
However, Gray took issue with how the Everton squad left the bus at Goodison Park as a video clip on beIN SPORTS showed none of the players waving to the fans or thanking them for their support.

“Whether just every Everton player is like that and that’s their personality, I don’t know. But I know if Peter Reid, [Graeme] Sharp walked off that bus – people like that – they’d acknowledge [the fans],” said Gray, as shown in the video clip.
Gray added: “I would just like somebody to just turn to their left as they came off that bus and just a little one-hander. I would have done because they’ve been there for ages already.
“Maybe that’s a measure of what every Evertonian is feeling right now.”
When asked by Keys if they were scared, Gray said: “Yes, yes. Worried and nervous.
“I last said week we’d beat Chelsea. That was more in hope than expectation if I’m being totally honest.”
Why did he need to make these comments?
Did he really have to be critical of the under-pressure players for simply retaining their focus as they made their way from the team bus to the changing room?
Did he really have to question Frank Lampard and the players for that?
There is a lot to question and criticise this coaching team and squad of players for this season but to be honest, this isn’t one of them.
Gray is an Everton legend but it’s let us down hearing him make these comments at the weekend because we’d have thought he’d have been better than that.
As we saw on the pitch, the players weren’t scared or worried or nervous.
They had the eye of the tiger.
In other Everton news, Stan Collymore has taken a big swipe at this 25-year-old who he suggests is taking the Blues down to the Championship.
