Sky Sports pundit raves about Everton star who left Chelsea player stunned
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Jordan Pickford was “unbelievable” in the victory over Chelsea and not only stunned Antonio Rudiger but also former Toffee Kevin Campbell.
Frank Lampard’s men picked up an invaluable 1-0 win over the visitors from Stamford Bridge, in no small part thanks to the England keeper who produced two memorable stops.
His recovery to keep out Cesar Azpilicueta’s shot was undoubtedly one of the saves of the season, but he then put his body on the line to block a shot from German defender Rudiger with his face, when an equaliser looked certain.

“He produced two unbelievable saves didn’t he?” Sky Sports pundit Campbell said speaking exclusively to Goodison News.
“[Mason] Mount hit both posts and it’s come out, and then he’s had to rush back across his goal. It’s behind him!
“He’s had to save that, and the one from Rudiger…”
“Rudiger can’t believe it. He can’t believe it, ‘cause he’s just about to stick it in.
“By any means, by any body part, and it smashes him on the nose and goes wide thank God, so yeah Pickford was excellent.
“Man of the match.”

The Toffees’ man between the sticks takes a lot of heat for someone so talented, and it’s fair to say without him the club might already be down.
The 28-year-old himself would have been relieved to have benefited from an improved defensive display with Yerry Mina fit to start.
But twice a Chelsea goal appeared inevitable and still the team came out of the crucial encounter with a rare clean sheet.
In other Everton news, there is big financial pressure on one of the club’s relegation rivals as well after news on Wednesday.
