View: Farhad Moshiri could rub salt in Burnley wounds with major Everton transfer for Josh Brownhill

Everton are in the midst of one of the Premier League’s fiercest ever relegation battles at this moment in time.

Burnley and Leeds United are fighting the Toffees to stay up, with one of the three clubs set to drop into the Championship.

Despite this, transfer plans are being put in place and Josh Brownhill is one who could move on from one of the three.

90min has reported that Leeds United and Everton are interested in the midfield maestro this summer if they stay up.

It is suggested that Burnley may have to sell whether they stay up or not, and a deal could cost up to £15million.

West Ham are said to be currently favourites, but that could soon change once the relegation picture becomes much clearer.

This is where Farhad Moshiri could really rub salt into the wounds.

Perfect.

Should Frank Lampard keep the Toffees in the Premier League, Moshiri would no doubt make money available to spend.

Using that to bring in homegrown talent from those around us could be the perfect method, rather than shipping into expensive exports from Europe which we have tried and failed with so many times.

Even if Burnley stay up, we could also keep our spot in the Premier League and still take Brownhill off their hands.

The Clarets going down would make it much easier for this deal though, and Moshiri could really rub salt in the wounds and make it a double blow.

Brownhill would bring much-needed grit to the heart of our side, as well as the ability to dictate play – something Allan struggles with massively.

It is perfect that we are planning for next season already, but we have to make sure we stay in the Premier League, if not, it would be a huge disaster.
