Gary Lineker tweets instant reaction to Everton win v Leicester in Premier League
Gary Lineker has congratulated Everton on their second away win of the season as they beat Leicester on Sunday.
Vitaly Mykolenko and Mason Holgate scored as the Blues moved their way out of the Premier League’s relegation zone at the King Power Stadium.
Lineker, a boyhood Leicester fan, reacted to the full-time whistle in the East Midlands by showing his happiness for his former club Everton.
“You’re welcome Everton. You’re very welcome,” said Lineker via his personal Twitter account on Sunday (8 May).
Huge
That should be it. That should be Everton safe in the Premier League next season.
We’re out of the relegation zone now and Leeds are absolutely done based on what happened to them at Arsenal.
Jesse Marsch lost Luke Ayling for the rest of the season for a terrible challenge on Gabriel Martinelli and he’s the only right-back they had available because of Stuart Dallas’ leg-break last week.

Leeds’ selection issues, their tough remaining fixtures and the fact they have played one more game than Everton should mean that at least they finish below us.
Burnley have played more matches than us too and lost to Aston Villa on Saturday so you would assume they’re in just as much trouble as the Whites are.
Everton are going from strength to strength right now and while we’re not going to act as though survival is a done deal, it does look as though we should be able to avoid the drop.
