Lampard’s view on Everton’s fan base after vital victory

Everton manager Frank Lampard full of praise for fans who “pushed the players” in their vital 2-1 victory over Leicester.

Goals from Vitalii Mykolenko and Mason Holgate were enough for Everton to climb out of the relegation zone.

Lampard was full of praise for Everton’s faithful and went back out after the match to thank them.

As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Lampard said: “They pushed the players and that is why we celebrate with them at the end.

`”Nothing’s done so I went back out there at the end because they don’t want to go home, they want to stay here and have a party.”

Perfect weekend

This weekend has been near enough perfect for Lampard’s side.

The Toffees have jumped out of the relegation zone and up to 16th in the Premier League.

Defeats for Burnley and Leeds United coupled with Everton’s win means things couldn’t have gone better for Lampard and his side.

Nothing is by no means achieved in this relegation battle.

The situation changes week on week and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the dynamic change once again.

Everton do have an easier run in than Leeds and Burnley and have really turned their fortunes around in recent weeks.

There has been a unity at Goodison Park, where the fans, players and management have collectively turn their relegation battle around.

Everton have two favourable home games before a trip to Arsenal.

Lampard will be hoping their fate has been decided before they make the trip to the Emirates on the final day.

In other Everton news, one pundit was stunned by what he saw an “unbelievable” Toffee do at the King Power.
