Richard Keys blown away by Jordan Pickford as Everton star shines v Leicester

Richard Keys was blown away by Jordan Pickford’s performance for Everton as they won 2-1 away at Leicester on Sunday.

Pickford was in fine form last week to help the Blues beat Chelsea and he was on top of his game again at the King Power on 8 May to help his side move out of the Premier League’s relegation zone.

After the game, ex-Sky Sports host Keys claimed that the England international is looking like he’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

“All of a sudden, everyone connected with Everton is both believing and smiling,” said Keys, as shown in a video clip on the beIN SPORTS Twitter account on 8 May.

“Jordan Pickford today, I have to say, what a second half. What a performance.

“The last two games, he’s looked like the best ‘keeper in the world.

“Big saves again today and Everton win it 2-1.”

Woah

Keys is right, Pickford has been incredible in the last two matches.

He’s basically won us four points by stopping Chelsea and Leicester from getting equalisers over the last week.

And those four points have moved Everton out of the relegation zone to be above Leeds and Burnley, who both lost this weekend.

Over the last week, we’ve seen the tide turn massively in Everton’s relegation battle because it’s looking increasingly likely that this team will stay up.

Frank Lampard’s men now have four matches left to play and if we win at least two of them, you’d assume we’re safe.

Leeds and Burnley have just three games to play and both of them have tougher matches than the Toffees do.

It looks like it’s a shoot out between those two sides in order to not join Watford and Norwich in making trips to Hull, Preston and Rotherham next season.

In other Everton news, Collymore has taken a big swipe at this 25-year-old who he suggests is taking the Blues down to the Championship.
