Everton announce pre-season return to the USA to face Arsenal and Minnesota United
Everton have announced their preseason plans in preparation for the 2022/23 season with the Toffees heading back to the USA for two fixtures.
The Toffees are returning to the US after lifting the Florida Cup in 2021, beating Colombian side Milionarios on penalities.
As confirmed on Everton’s official website, the Blues will face Arsenal in Baltimore on the 16th of July.
Frank Lampard’s side will then travel to Minneapolis to face Minnesota United on the 20th of July.
Talking to the Club website, Lampard said: “As well as using the incredible facilities in preparation for next season, this visit will give us a chance to connect with our proud and passionate US fanbase.”
Everton’s American tours
The Toffees were the only Premier League side to visit the US in 2021 and have made eight pre-season trips stateside since 2004.
With the growing popularity of football in the USA, it is a good strategy for Everton to adopt to try and grow the club on a more global level.

However, the Toffees will be desperate to make the trip to the US as a Premier League club.
Lampard’s side have four fixtures and twelve points to play for in their relegation battle.
The Toffees will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they face already relegated Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday [May 11].
Everton have two remaining home games against Brentford and Crystal Palace, followed by a trip to Arsenal in their survival bid.
Announcing their preseason plans before they’ve sealed their Premier League fate is perhaps a bit premature.
Although the Toffees will be confident they can maintain their Premier League status heading into the final weeks of the season.
