Manchester United eye surprise move for Everton forward Richarlison

Manchester United are eyeing a surprise move for Everton star man Richarlison in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano speaking to The United Stand.

With a “mass reshape” expected at Old Trafford upon Erik ten Hag’s arrival at the club – the Blues forward has emerged as a top target for the Dutchman.

The forward has been pivotal in Frank Lampard’s side’s Premier League fightback in recent weeks whilst being involved in 12 league goals all season.

Increased reports linking the Brazilian with a move away from Merseyside in the summer come amid the Toffees’ relegation battle.

Romano told The United Stand: “Two players Manchester United have discussed in the striker position is Darwin Nunez and Richarlison.”

Please stay.

Hopefully, Richarlison will stay at Everton despite the continuous rumours over the last couple of months.

When a team with good players are shocked into a relegation battle, their best players are always linked with moves away from the club.

We saw it at Leeds with Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha and similarly with the Toffees with Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and now Jordan Pickford.

It looks as if one of the pair mightn’t stay in the Premier League – most likely Leeds under current circumstances – and therefore might lose their best players.

Hopefully, Lampard navigates the Blues to safety so they have the best chance of keeping their star men but that is far from certain.

Even if the Toffees do stay in the league, they are under increasing financial pressure which could see them forced into selling some players to generate some revenue.

Hopefully, the Merseysiders stay up which will ease their finances and allow them to keep hold of their key players for next season.
