Supercomputer predicts outcome of Everton crunch clash v Brentford

A supercomputer has predicted the crucial outcome of the crunch Premier League clash between Everton and Brentford this weekend.

Manager of the season nominee Thomas Frank and his Bees team make the trip up to Merseyside for the Sunday [May 15] afternoon Goodison Park showdown.

Seven points in their last three games see the Blues sit in 16th in the league, boasting a two-point gap on Burnley and Leeds United with three games remaining.

With everything still to play for, Frank Lampard’s side will look to boost their chance of safety with a win against the west Londoners.

FiveThirtyEight has given the Toffees a 35% chance of winning the game with a draw being rated at 27%.

Brentford edge the game as favourites with a 38% chance of walking away with all three points.

No chance.

If Everton maintain the levels they have shown in recent weeks – especially at home – then Brentford do not stand a chance.

With the Bees sitting rather comfortably in 13th, their players are already planning their holidays, which should make this a straightforward win for the Blues.

Make no mistake, the visitors are a very good side and have impressed massively in their first season in the Premier League, but the Toffees should have the firepower to overcome them.

The fans will undoubtedly create another memorable atmosphere to spur their team to victory – the role they have played in ensuring survival this season has been paramount.

With that being said, this is a potential banana skin for Lampard’s team so their mindset has to be spot on.

There is no room for complacency, with Burnley and Leeds having the chance to jump above Everton in the table should the results go their way.

In other Everton news, Sean Dyche has lifted the lid on a private talk with Lampard after he insulted the Blues.
