Super Computer makes new Everton, Leeds United, Burnley relegation prediction after latest Premier League twist

Everton have seen their chances of relegation increase due to their 3-2 defeat to Brentford at Goodison Park on Sunday (15 May), according to a Super Computer.

In the wake of Burnley’s defeat to Tottenham and Leeds’ draw with Brighton earlier in the day, FiveThirtyEight’s Premier League data predicted that Everton had just a three per cent chance of going down.

However, the latest twist in the Premier League’s fight for survival saw Everton go down to nine men and lose to Brentford, meaning their chances of relegation have increased three-fold to nine per cent.

Leeds are favourites to go down at 58 per cent while Burnley’s relegation chances are rated at 35 per cent.

Still safe?

If Everton go down, it will be a massive shock now.

Not only do we have two games left, but we also have two winnable games left.

On Thursday (19 May), we play against Crystal Palace in the final match at Goodison Park this season before a trip to Arsenal on Sunday (22 May).

Both are very much winnable games for the Blues, who might not even need to win them based on the fact that Leeds have just one game left.

Leeds, unlike Everton and Burnley, do not have a game in hand.

Jesse Marsch’s side also has a terrible goal difference that definitely will not help them stay up when they play their final game against Brentford.

Burnley still need to play Aston Villa and Newcastle, which are also kind of winnable for them. But, at the same time, their recent form could mean they’ll be in for a struggle.

We’d make Leeds the favourites to go down at this point, even though they moved above Burnley with their point against Brighton.
