Everton given promise by Brentford boss Thomas Frank ahead of their final day clash with Leeds
Thomas Frank has promised Everton he will play a strong side in their final day clash with the Toffees’ relegation rivals Leeds United.
Brentford face the Yorkshire side on Sunday [22 May] after beating Frank Lampard’s side 3-2 at Goodison Park to plunge the Toffees back into the relegation picture.
After beating Frank Lampard’s side, the Brentford boss has vowed to treat the Leeds game with the same respect.

As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Frank said: “It is nothing about Everton, Burnley or Leeds.
“Everyone will do our best to win on Sunday and if Brentford can finish top 10, that’s remarkable.
“It’s very simple; maybe after 10 years in the Premier League you don’t care if you finish 11th or 9th for us, every game is a cup final.”
Everton won’t want to rely on the Bees
Lampard’s side have the opportunity to completely avoid any last day nerves with a win over Crystal Palace on Thursday [19 May].
Despite Frank’s comments, Leeds United will take a large contingent down to West London and will do everything they can to get a result at the Bees.
The Bees were under pressure at Goodison Park before Jarrad Branthwaite’s red card turned the tide the way of the London side.
Despite Arsenal’s poor form, a trip to the Emirates certainly looks a tougher affair for Lampard’s men.

Everton will be desperate to get over the line against Patrick Vieira’s Palace side.
The Eagles have enjoyed a successful season and could cause the Toffees problems on the break.
Palace have an array of young, pacy and physical players that could certainly hurt the Toffees.
The longer this relegation battle goes on, the more pressure will build on Lampard’s side and we’ve seen how poorly this side reacts under pressure this season.
In other Everton news, a former head of refereeing has pointed at players not knowing the rules in response to Lampard’s post-match comments.
