Everton must move for Cameron Carter Vickers to replace Yerry Mina

If Everton manage to stay up, they should make a smart plan for the summer transfer window.

Bolstering the defence is key, and the Toffees must bring in more quality players.

Patrick Boyland of The Atheltic reported on 6 May that there’ll be a decision to make on Yerry Mina in the summer.

The Colombian defender has struggled with injuries this season, and chances are less that he will feature again this season.

He was playing so well after he returned from injury, but he has once again picked up an injury. That is why Mina can’t be trusted.

No matter how good a defender he is, no manager can build a team around a player who hardly remains fit. He should be sold in the summer.

With that in mind, the Toffees should look to move for Cameron Carter Vickers instead to replace him.

According to a report from 90min (29 April), the Toffees are keen on the Tottenham defender who enjoyed a terrific loan spell at Celtic this season.

He won the Scottish Premiership title with the Bhoys, and The Daily Record suggest Ange Postecoglou wants him back in Glasgow.

The 24-year-old has proved his quality in Scotland, and Everton shouldn’t hesitate in putting up a bid for him in the summer.

He has proven his experience at the top level and would come at a decent price.

Obviously, in terms of quality, he is not a like-for-like replacement for Mina, but considering his age, current form, talent, and price, he looks like a complete package.

Of course, everything depends on where they end up after this season. If they stay up, Carter-Vickers would be perfect for them.
