Paul Parker expects Donny Van de Beek to leave Everton after loan ends, will flourish at Manchester United
Paul Parker expects Everton loanee Donny Van de Beek to return to Manchester United at the end of his loan now that Erik Ten Hag is the manager.
Van de Beek moved to Goodison Park on loan in January but has struggled for fitness and minutes and failed to really make an impact in his short stint on Merseyside.
But after his former Ajax boss was appointed as the new manager at Old Trafford, former United defender Parker told indiabetting.co.in that he expects the Dutch international to return and get another chance at his parent club.

“I think he gives them (Manchester United) an opportunity,” he said. “And if he believes there’s an opportunity for him, he’ll be more relaxed than he has ever been.
“Since the moment he left the shores of Holland to come to the UK, I don’t think he’s been relaxed. So, I think there’s a great chance for him and he knows that as well. And every Manchester United fan would want him to do that, would want to see him be given a chance.
“He’s got the best foundation possible now. The only foundation he’s missing is not having the Ajax Arena around him. But he’s got the person who made him a player, who helped him make his name. So, there’s an opportunity that he would move on as a player.
“So, I’m looking forward to seeing him play, I really am, cause I saw how well and good of a player he was and I was disappointed that he was never given an opportunity to relax and try and play his game (at Manchester United).
“He never got an opportunity to play in what was maybe the best eleven of a United team. And when he did play he was coming on as a sub when games were won or when they were chasing games. He’s not that kind of a player, he’s not that kind of impact player.
“He’s a player that you build around. He’ll go and get the ball deep, he’ll be in a box, he’s got quick feet, and he never got an opportunity to play. Because Manchester United don’t dominate the ball, so you’re not gonna get the best out of him as he’s chasing around like a fairy to try and get the ball back.”

Inevitable
It’s not really a surprise that Van de Beek will likely return to Manchester in the summer, and it wouldn’t have been even without Ten Hag.
He arrived with plenty of expectation, especially considering the lack of opportunity he got at United, but since turning up on Merseyside he’s struggled to get on the pitch.
Initially he turned in some good performances but after illness, the birth of his child and then injury he’s barely been involved as the club have battled against relegation problems.
Lampard will have known that he can’t count on him going forward and with the loan coming to an end, it gives him more chance to re-evaluate the squad in the summer and look for replacements without too much hassle.
It’s a shame, but there is clearly a quality football player in him but Goodison Park just wasn’t the best place for him to show that this season.
