Everton release stunning developments on new 53,000 seater stadium at Bramley-Moore dock
Everton have released footage of the construction of their 53,000 seater stadium with work set to accelerate in the coming months.
The Toffees’ Twitter account released drone footage on Tuesday [24 May] displaying staircases that have been installed in the northeastern corner and new offices being built in preparation for more construction to accelerate in the coming months.
The Toffees’ new stadium is set to be ready ahead of the 2024/25 season, with the club’s 130-year stay at Goodison Park coming to an end.
Goodison a special place
Everton fans should be careful what they wish for when it comes to a new stadium.
There have been some controversial stadium moves in recent years which have had differing successes.
Tottenham are a great example of a switch of stadia going well with a balance between a modern design and maintaining the atmosphere and history of White Hart Lane.
Whereas West Ham have faced a move that hasn’t worked out as well as they would’ve hoped.
The Hammers have gone from a historic, characterful ground in Upton Park to the London Stadium, which has struggled to generate a good atmosphere at times this season.

Everton must remember they have one of the most soulful, atmospheric, characterful and iconic grounds in the country.
Traditional stadiums like Goodison Park are a dying breed and should be upgraded, rather than replaced.
It is going to take an almighty effort to keep the Goodison faithful happy when they do eventually move to their new stadium.
