Nathan Broadhead opens up on Everton future after latest injury setback
Nathan Broadhead has remained coy on his Everton future after suffering an injury setback.
The 24-year-old was forced to withdraw from the Wales squad for the Nations League matches and June’s World Cup play-off final through injury.
He missed the latter part of Sunderland’s play-off push through injury, and will head to Goodison Park for recovery and pre-season.

“Now I’m just looking forward to getting back to 100-per-cent fitness and having a full pre-season. We’ll see what happens next,” Broadhead told Evertonfc.com
“I’ve been learning every day from experienced players and that’s part of it. Of course, I want to be in that environment and playing senior football.”
Big summer
It’s going to be a massive summer for the Toffees, with Frank Lampard set to stamp his own authority after guiding Everton to Premier League safety.
Broadhead will have to work extremely hard to impress his manager in the pre-season training, but most importantly, he needs to get fit at the earliest.
The Toffees will look to sign a striker this summer. Cenk Tosun has left the club while Salomon Rondon is also likely to leave. Moise Keane is also facing an uncertain future.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is being targeted by other clubs, needs support, and Broadhead should aim to get into the senior side next season.
He has a contract at Everton till 2023, and it makes no sense to send him out on loan yet again.
At his age, he should be playing regularly at a fixed club, be it Everton or elsewhere. It’s good to see that he is looking forward to the pre-season already.
