View: Everton face major injustice after Goodison Park incident reports
Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira will not face police punishment after kicking an Everton fan to the ground at Goodison Park last week, according to Eurosport.
The Toffees completed an emphatic second-half comeback to win the game 3-2 and secure Premier League safety in their penultimate game ahead of next season.
With the fans streaming onto the pitch to celebrate the achievement, one took the decision to goad the Eagles boss who was then caught on camera assaulting the fan.
Merseyside police have concluded their investigation to no effect which is a complete farce – Vieira should have faced some sort of punishment for the incident.
The FA is still investigating the incident as part of a wider investigation into the pitch invasion.
If the former Arsenal ace isn’t made an example of, football runs the risk of the players, managers, and co thinking they can get away with what they want – two wrongs do not make a right.
Joke.
Admittedly, the fans shouldn’t have been on the pitch but that is a big part of English football culture.

It has been widely accepted for years but all of a sudden, a few idiots want to spoil the fun for everyone by taking it too far and attacking players.
The Everton fan who was taunting him needs to have a serious look at himself but did the incident really warrant Vieira booting him to the floor?
He is a professional, a role model to millions and he really should have done better. The decision not to punish him might even be worse than the incident itself – what sort of message is that sending to all of the people watching?
Yet again, the Blues have been served a massive sense of injustice in this situation. If it was the other way round – or even another club in the Premier League – it would be a hell of a lot different.
