Sky Sports pundit expects Frank Lampard to exploit Chelsea links for Everton transfer deals

Frank Lampard would “be stupid not to” take advantage of his history with Chelsea to bring players into Everton this summer says Kevin Campbell.
After having all of a day in the January transfer market the Toffees boss is set to embark on his first proper transfer window in charge, and having secured Premier League survival late in the day is sure to want a major overhaul of the squad.
Considering the financial constraints the club continue to operate under, Sky Sports pundit Campbell sees it as a no-brainer for Lampard to exploit his status as a legend at Stamford Bridge, when the likes of Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja may be set for new loans after success this year.
“He’d be stupid not to. He’d be crazy not to,“ he said, speaking exclusively to Goodison News.
“And the thing is with those players [Gallagher, Broja, etc.], they’ve now got Premier League experience under their belt.
“They’ve had good loan spells at other clubs and they’ve done well.
“So Frank Lampard would be crazy not to go, because he knows them.
“He knows what they’re capable of. They’re young, they’re fit, they’re hungry, and they’re talented.
“So I think you’ve got to use what you can.”
Lampard had his biggest success utilising the Cobham academy while manager in west London, bringing through the likes of Tammy Abraham, Reece James and Mason Mount.
His history there gives him an insight into who is available and what they can do, and surely makes the club more well disposed towards doing business with him than others.
When the club is operating with reduced means in the market it could be a major bonus to have the record scorer at Stamford Bridge in charge at Goodison.
In other Everton news, the “serious people” involved in the Premier League agreement over the finances mean the legal threat from Leeds and Burnley is not a big concern.
