Everton winger Demarai Gray on Newcastle United radar – report
Newcastle United could make a surprise move for Everton winger Demarai Gray, according to the Daily Mail.
The Magpies have been in the market to sign a winger with the possible departure of Miguel Almirón.
As per the latest report, Gray is on the shortlist of the Toon Army if the international will leave the club in the summer transfer window.

The list further include the likes of Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby, Leeds United’s Jack Harrison and Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson.

Low key signing
Newcastle being linked with a low key name, Gray in this case, might raise some eyebrows bearing in mind the money pumped into the club recently.
After the club was sold to Saudi-backed ownership in October last year, it was widely anticipated that the Magpies will be a big spending powerhouse in the future transfer windows.
However, Gray could be a suitable budget option if manager Eddie Howe is keen on strengthening other areas of the pitch with higher spending.
The Birmingham-born notched up five goals and four assists for Everton in the recently concluded campaign after making the move from Leverkusen last summer for just £1.7 million.
Gray has made 167 appearances in the Premier League, mostly with Leicester City between 2016 and 2021, scoring 15 goals and notching up as many assists.
Leaving Everton after just one year, while also taking into account his brief spell in Germany, might not be the smartest option for the 25-year-old Gray if he wants to settle down and make the most of his peak years.
