Jamie Carragher brands Everton ace Richarlison biggest cheat in league
Jamie Carragher has branded Everton forward Richarlison the “biggest cheat in the league” after many issues with the Brazilian this season.
The Sky Sports pundit was very critical of the striker after he want to ground on several occasions during the 2-0 loss at Anfield in April.
Since then, the pair have gone head-to-head on Twitter with Richarlison calling the former Red out after securing Premier League survival against Crystal Palace.
When asked whether his take on Richarlison during the Merseyside derby was wrong, Carragher said on the Overlap: “Yeah,” before quickly backtracking.
“The first time he has gone down and there has been something properly wrong with him.
“Honest to god. Biggest cheat in the league.”
Harassment.
When will Carragher give up? Pundits are supposed to be unbiased but his relentless hounding of Richarlison is quite the opposite.
He shows his Liverpool connections almost every time he talks about Everton – the 44-year-old simply can’t talk about Everton without digging them out – it’s a farce.
The most infuriating thing is that he has continuously branded the Brazil international a cheat but you could clearly see after his terrible take during the Anfield clash that Richarlison was in fact stamped on and had every right to go to the ground.
Admittedly, he doesn’t help himself with the nature of how he goes down sometimes and is straight back up the next minute but that is modern-day football for you.
The Toffees forward calling him out on Twitter after the criticism was hilarious and hopefully, he does it again because Carragher shouldn’t be allowed to get away with his harassment of Richarlison – it is not fair one bit.
