Richard Dunne says Everton will be ‘foolish’ not to axe Dele Alli
Sky Sports pundit Richard Dunne has urged Everton to get rid of former Tottenham man Dele Alli before he “costs them millions”.
The Blues signed the 26-year-old on a two and a half year deal potentially worth up to £40million depending on performance-related add-ons, as per Sky Sports.
With the England international yet to hit the fresh hold which would see the Toffees pay full price for him, Dunne has insisted that they would be “foolish” not to sell him.

He told Express: “I think for Dele it was an opportunity to prove himself and earn a contract.
“He’s done ok, but he’s not done enough to start in the team and Everton needs players to start next season.
“So if Alli is going to cost them millions they would be foolish not to look around and see if they can get someone they can trust and they know will be available.
“He’s not proved that over the last six months.”
Victim.
Alli has faced some really brutal and unfair criticism in the media over the last several years and you really have to feel sorry for the lad.
Bursting onto the scene at such a young age has seemingly done him no favours.

He was hyped to be the next best thing during his early days at Tottenham and now that he hasn’t quite lived up to the potential everybody thought he had – he has been ridiculed in the media.
It is a bizarre one that nobody can really put their finger on – it must be a severe lack of confidence.
The former MK Dons ace has put in a mixed set of performances whilst with the Blues – at times he has been awful but equally, he was the catalyst of the season-defining comeback against Crystal Palace.
Farhad Moshiri risks wasting a staggering £40million on their experiment with Alli because as much as they should move him on given his minuscule impact since January – they won’t.
Who knows? with a full preseason under his belt in a rebuilt squad with Lampard at the wheel, he might reignite his career.
