Sky Sports pundit rules out Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Jordan Pickford Everton exits
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Everton cannot sell star trio Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Jordan Pickford this summer according to Kevin Campbell.
There has been speculation that the club would be forced to sell their star names, both if they were relegated, and then even after staying up, with concerns about balancing the books.
But Sky Sports pundit Campbell says while most others should be available if necessary, that trio should form the “backbone” of the team, and singled out the scorer of the goal that made the Toffees safe, Calvert-Lewin, for praise after the recent discussion about his mental health struggle.

“I think Pickford’s not going anywhere,” Campbell said, speaking exclusively to Goodison News.
“I’d like to think Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are going nowhere.
“The rest, you could say there could be potential for them to leave the club.
“But those three star names, they should be part of the backbone of that team.
“When the light was at its brightest Pickford stepped up, Richarlison stepped up, and Calvert-Lewin stepped up.
“He did a nice piece about his mental health and what was difficult, but that’s the life of a footballer.
“Some of these things you’ve got to go through, and that’s what a lot of fans don’t realise.
“It’s hard. It’s not easy being a professional footballer, especially when you’ve been suffering injuries and you can’t help your teammates.
“It’s difficult, very difficult.
“But it was nice to see him come back and get the winner against Crystal Palace.
“That goal would have been such a relief for him.”

Pickford and Richarlison’s heroics at either end of the pitch kept the club in the Premier League, and if either were now to leave would be a major blow to the fans.
Calvert-Lewin had an extremely difficult season both in front of goal and with injury, and his Instagram post gave in insight into how hard that had been for him.
It will have been a major emotional boost for him to score the crucial goal with an excellent diving header, and along with Alex Iwobi and Anthony Gordon rounds off a group of players who will surely be crucial for Frank Lampard next season.
In other Everton news, a European finalist has been told to raid the Toffees for an up-and-coming goalscoring talent who they faced this year.
