Adrien Truffert opens up on his future amid Everton transfer link
Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert has revealed he’s aware Everton are interested in signing him.
The 20-year-old has been a regular member of the Rennes side, where the left-back made 79 appearances in the last two seasons.
The youngster, however, has made it clear that he is currently not thinking about his future as he has a contract at the club till 2025. But, he will speak with his parents and his agent.

He said, as quoted by Stade Rennes: “Everton and Ajax interested? Yes, I knew about it. Of course, it’s flattering to have clubs that are interested in you.
“Honestly, the question today does not necessarily arise. I have a contract until 2025 with Stade Rennes. We had a complicated end of the season, now I have the qualifications with the U21s, so for the moment, I don’t have to ask myself this question.
“I will ask myself this question later, with my parents and my agents. My parents are very important. They are a strength.”
Left-back needed
Signing a left-back could be a priority for the Toffees this summer.
During the January transfer window, Everton signed Vitaly Mykolenko, and he has proved to be a solid addition.
However, a reliable back-up option is required, with Jonjoe Kenny likely to depart as a free agent.
It seems like Everton and Ajax have been monitoring the youngster, but it seems he is happy at the French club at the moment.

Everton should look to sign an experienced left-back for the next season, someone who knows the league inside out and can challenge Mykolenko for the first-choice role.
The Toffees are expected to undergo a massive overhaul this summer, and Frank Lampard will definitely want to stamp his own authority on the side.
Lampard has a proven track record of nurturing young talents and there could be a strategy in place at Goodison Park to focus on youth going forward.
