Everton unlikely to pay £40m for Dele Alli after frustrating spell
Everton are unlikely to keep Dele Alli with them in the summer transfer window.
Frank Lampard moved in quickly to bring Alli to the club on the final day of the January transfer window, but it seems the England international is facing an uncertain future once again.
According to The Daily Mail, the Toffees are unlikely to want to pay £40million to Tottenham if certain clauses are met moving forward.

The 26-year-old joined on an initial free transfer which could potentially rise to £40million provided certain performance bonuses are met.
He started just eight times for Spurs before moving to Goodison Park. Many thought that the change will help him regain his best form under Frank Lampard, but instead, it went from bad to worse.
He hardly managed to get games, with Lampard finding it hard to trust him. It will be a huge shock if the Toffees decide to keep him beyond the summer.
Alli made 11 appearances in total for Everton, but only one of those being from the start. It shows, that he is not being valued, and there’s no point in paying a hefty transfer fee for him when the club itself is under financial constraint.

The summer transfer window is going to be massive for the Toffees where Lampard will be looking to sculpt the squad to his own taste. Plus, some of the key players like Yerry Mina and Richarlison could be sold, which means new additions are required.
It’s really sad to see Alli’s career going into a spiral downfall. He was once destined for greatness, but he is now failing to recapture the form that made him famous at Spurs.
It looks like a sensible decision from Farhad Moshiri to terminate the deal and save money for future transfers. It’s not worth paying £40m for handing him making appearances.
In other Everton news, a European club are ready to make a decision this summer that will either net the Toffees €4million or €28million.
