Frank Lampard makes smart transfer call on Jarrad Branthwaite
Frank Lampard has decided that it would be ideal for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite to go out on loan next season.
The Daily Mail (5 June, p150) reported that the Toffees boss wants the youngster to get more regular game time next season.
Branthwaite made six Premier League appearances in 2021/22.

His high point was scoring against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The young defender also suffered heartbreak after he was sent off in an end-of-season defeat to Brentford.
The 19-year-old has got loads of potential and Lampard has made the right decision by sending him out on loan.
However, his next move will be key for his career. Either he needs to join a mid-table Premier League club where he will get sufficient exposure or he should join a Championship club that are aiming for promotion.
It is not always ideal to send a player on loan to a newly promoted club. Chelsea sent Billy Gilmour on loan to Norwich City, and the move turned into a disaster for the young kid.

Branthwaite has shown last season that he could be ready to play in the Premier League, but he needs more experience. He is still very raw.
The decision also gives an indication that Frank Lampard wants to bring one or two defenders in the summer, which could push the youngster down the pecking order.
Instead, it would be ideal for him to move elsewhere, and enjoy his loan spell.
