Juan Cuadrado would be a smart signing for Everton

Everton should look to bring Juan Cuadrado to the Premier League this summer.

According to a report from Calciomercato (June 5), Cuadrado is being chased by a host of clubs, including AS Roma, West Ham and Everton.

The 34-year-old winger has a contract at Juventus till 2023, and he will be allowed to move on.

Cuadrado has been offered a two-year deal by the Old Lady, but the 111-times capped Colombian international has refused to agree to it.

Juventus have made it clear to him that he can leave.

He would be a smart addition to the Toffees, and the club should make an attempt to sign him this summer.

Cuadrado has enjoyed his best football playing for Fiorentina, and Juventus, but he also played for Chelsea where he won the Premier League title with them in 2014-15.

He has won five Serie A titles with the Bianconeri. A player of his calibre and experience would be a handy addition to the side.

Last season, Cuadrado managed 45 games in all competitions, which shows he is still good enough to contribute at the highest level.

Cuadrado has only managed 55 goals in his career, which comes as a bit of a surprise, considering his vast talent.

However, it has to be kept in mind that he is now a makeshift wing-back, and doesn’t play as a natural winger anymore.

Nathan Patterson is expected to be given more chances next season, but keeping Cuadrado will further bolster the squad.

He is still a lethal weapon going forward and will give Lampard another new dimension to the side.

The Toffees can get him at a decent price, and the club can seal a transfer jackpot if they can land him.
