Frank Lampard eager to change ‘soft’ image of Everton despite receiving £30k fine
Everton manager Frank Lampard says that he wants the club to stand against ‘injustice’ after being recently penalised for criticising the match officials.
The former Chelsea midfielder was recently fined £30,000 and warned about his future conduct after he had an emotional outburst on the bias shown against the Toffees in the match against Liverpool.
However, the 43-year-old, while talking to the Mirror, stated that he is eager to change to club’s image from being soft by speaking out.

“During my short time here, I have felt that the decisions have not been in our favour, which has affected our performances,” he said. “I don’t want my club to have a soft mentality.
“I want Everton to be a club that stands up against injustice. I am not questioning anybody’s credibility. I just want my club to show unity when things get tough.”

Despite having a rather difficult time as a manager at Chelsea, Lampard would definitely want to make the most out of his Everton career.
When he joined the Toffees in the recently concluded season replacing Rafa Benitez on the bench, the Liverpool-based club were in serious trouble as they were being involved in a relegation battle.
However, now as he has saved the Merseyside club from going into the Championship, the former Derby manager wants to make the most out of the next Premier League season with the club.
Everton’s main priority for this summer is the defensive unit where they had the fifth-worst defensive record, conceding 66 goals in 38 games and had a goal difference of -23 [Sky Sports].
They’ve been linked with a number of defenders including the likes of Burnley’s veteran centre-back James Tarkowski, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Goodison Park as a free agent.
