Everton: Rivaldo weighs in on ‘crucial’ Richarlison transfer saga
The Everton future of Brazilian striker Richarlison is still uncertain and his fellow countryman Rivaldo has weighed in on the situation.
The 25-year-old played a key role in keeping the Toffees in the Premier League with some crucial goals once Frank Lampard took charge at Goodison Park.
Those performances have rightly seen him become a more key member of the Brazil squad but Rivaldo, a former international himself, wants Richarlison to make a move to a bigger club this summer.

“This could be a big summer for Richarlison and his compatriot Edu, who is the technical director at Arsenal, could be crucial in a potential move to the Gunners,” he said, as quoted by the Metro.
“He looks set to leave Everton, with several big clubs interested, and Arsenal looks a good option for the forward.
“Joining a club that fights near the top of the Premier League could be important for Richarlison, after a tough season with Everton, in which he was crucial to saving the club from relegation.
“If he gets a big move, he will have a better chance of becoming a first choice forward for Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar.”
Not Arsenal
Of all the clubs that could be interested in signing Richarlison this summer, the Gunners are not one of those that should massively interest him.

They might have had a decent season to finish fifth but of the traditional big six teams, they are the side with the least pulling power and finances behind them.
Richarlison is too good for them already even though he’s only just played for a side that battled relegation during 2021-22 because the majority of the issues were not down to him.
if he is to leave Merseyside this summer, it should be for a club which can either offer him a substantial pay rise or that will allow him to play Champions League football and then assert himself entirely onto the Brazilian national team.
Lampard would love to still have him available for selection come the start of the 2022-23 season but it appears he could be on his way, let’s just hope it isn’t to The Emirates because he is better than that.
In other Everton news, the club have been heavily criticised after they announced a brand new sponsorship deal on Thursday (9 June)
