Everton set to move quickly onto other targets as Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell seal James Tarkowski deal
Everton are set to move quickly on to other targets after sealing a deal for James Tarkowski, according to the Liverpool ECHO.
The newspaper wrote in their print edition [19 June, pg.36] that Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell will be aware of the injection of quality needed in numerous positions at Goodison Park.
A deal for Tarkowski is in place and agreed upon but won’t be announced until he official leaves Burnley at the end of the month and becomes a free agent.

Adam Jones wrote in the report: “However, one the centre-back [Tarkowski] is through the door, you’d expect that the club will quickly move on to other targets.
“Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell will be well aware that numerous positions need an injection of quality over the coming weeks.”

Get it done.
The last thing the Toffees need this summer is to be left behind.
Of course, we are in a much more difficult predicament given our Financial Fair Play constraints, which could mean that players have to be sold before any money is paid out.
When you look at the money already spent by the likes of Leeds, it makes you scratch your head and wonder what can be done to counter that activity being done by our nearest rivals last season.
Thelwell and Lampard need to be smart, and target areas that desperately need strengthening like the midfield, where a couple of new faces would be nice.
Given that, why not move players on from that position?
Fabian Delph was shown the exit, and now the likes of Andre Gomes could be too with his big wages off the weekly bill something that will no doubt allow us to make another move.
These are the decisions that need to be made, and with quick business wanted, we may have no other choice.
