Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel 'very much admires' Everton striker Richarlison
Thomas Tuchel believes Everton striker Richarlison’s physical attributes will make the 25-year-old an excellent addition to Chelsea’s front line, as reported by Football London.
The Daily Mail reported on Monday 20 June that Chelsea have joined the race for the Brazilian with Tottenham and Arsenal also interested.
It has since been reported by Football London on Tuesday 21 June that Tuchel is an admirer of the striker’s physical attributes and believes he will be a good fit in Chelsea’s front line.
Football London also suggested that the feeling at Goodison Park is that the striker could be sold if a bid of over £50million is placed for the Brazilian.
It feels as if a departure for Richarlison could well be on the cards this summer and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing for the Toffees.
There is no doubting that the 25-year-old was instrumental in Frank Lampard’s side securing their Premier League survival after flirting dangerously close to relegation.
However, if the Toffees can generate a large fee for the Brazilian, then surely it is worth letting him leave in order to improve the rest of the squad?
If Everton are reluctant to sell the Brazilian there is a chance that his value will only decline heading into the latter stages of his contract.
Considering the work that Lampard has to undertake this summer, it does make sense for the Everton boss to cash in on his prized assets.
Furthermore, Richarlison is at an age where he will want to be competing at the highest level of club football and potential add some trophies to his resume before his career comes to its conclusion.
Therefore a move to Stamford Bridge does make sense with Chelsea a consistent threat to pretty much every cup competition they feature in, as well as competing near the top end of the Premier League.
