Everton striker Richarlison has 'good relationship' with Arsenal technical director Edu

Everton striker Richarlison shares a good relationship with Arsenal technical director and fellow Brazilian Edu, according to the Daily Star.

The Daily Mail reported on 20 June, that Chelsea have joined Tottenham and Arsenal in pursuing a deal for the forward’s services.

It has since been revealed that Arsenal may have the upper hand, with the Daily Star reporting on Wednesday 22 June, that Richarlison has a “good relationship” with Edu and that the 25-year-old’s advisors have close links to the Gunners.

Move looks likely

Even the most optimistic of Evertonian will probably accept that Richarlison isn’t going to be at the club come the start of the 2022/23 campaign and it’s hard to begrudge the Brazilian a move.

Despite the sweeping changes that are occurring at Goodison Park, it’s unlikely that the Toffees will be competing in the upper echelons of the Premier League next season.

At 25, Richarlison really does need to test himself at the highest level and ensure that he is knocking on the door of Brazil’s starting eleven for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Regardless of his links to Arsenal, there are probably too many problems that would prevent the 25-year-old from making the move to The Emirates.

Arsenal are targeting fellow Brazilians Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha and with all three players prone to operating in wider roles, it does seem unlikely that they will all make the move to Arsenal

Furthermore, surely the Everton man wants to test himself in the Champions League?

Arsenal could only secure Europa League qualification last season, and a player of Richarlison’s raw talent should be playing in Europe’s flagship competition.

It promises to be an intriguing few weeks for the Brazilian.
