Everton: Tottenham end Gabriel Jesus chase to focus on Richarlison

Tottenham have ended their interest in Gabriel Jesus to focus their transfer attempts on Everton winger Richarlison, according to the Daily Mail.

The Manchester City attacker had piqued Antonio Conte’s interest but their North London rivals Arsenal are also in the race to sign the 25-year-old which has rather quashed Spurs’ eagerness.

Instead, Daniel Levy may throw his money at either Richarlison or his Brazilian teammate Raphinha from Leeds United as he searches to make big improvements to his team’s attack.

Leeds have been determined in asking for £60million to sell their star player but we have been reported to be happy to accept just £50million for ours.

The likelihood is that only one of the two Brazilian tricksters are going to sign for Tottenham this summer due to the costs involved in both deals and the form of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son last season.

Heads or Tails?

It’s going to be tough for Conte, Levy and Spurs to decide whether it is the Everton man or the Whites winger who suits them best at this moment in time.

There is not much between them at all in terms of all-around play but one thing that Richarlison has over Raphinha is numbers in attack.

He has scored double figures in three of his last four seasons with the Toffees while his international companion has only played Premier League football for two campaigns.

If we were making the decision, we would understandably side with our man having watched him intensely for the past five years but those actually in control at Tottenham may have a different view.

It might be a better decision to simply flip a coin to decide which player they should target first, presuming that they have the financial clout to sign whichever they prefer.

So, heads or tails?
