Sky Sports pundit in awe of Christian Eriksen at Everton prospect with offer pending
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
If Everton were able to land top free agent Christian Eriksen they would be “in business” according to former Toffees captain Kevin Campbell.
The Brentford man has shown his quality back in the Premier League after the cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 which threatened to end his career, and according to the Daily Mail Everton are one of a number of clubs who have made him an offer for when his contract expires this month.
A fan since his original run in the Tottenham team, Sky Sports pundit Campbell would love to see the Danish international at Goodison Park because of the affect he could have on games next season.

“I think Eriksen’s a wonderful player. Even when he was a Spurs he was a top player,” he said, speaking exclusively to Goodison News.
“Obviously the unfortunate thing happened to him at the Euros, but he’s come back and he’s proven himself hasn’t he?
“He’s proven what a really good player he is.
“It worked out for both Brentford and him, him getting the last half a season.
“And now he’s a free, so I’m sure there’s going to be quite a few clubs after him.
“If Everton could get him, you’re in business.
“Because he’s a player who can not only dictate a game, one of the few players around who can really dictate a game, he can make a difference in a game in a split second.
“He’s that good.”

The Toffees have already made one potentially game-changing free transfer signing this summer with the capture of James Tarkowski, which is still yet to be announced.
Landing Eriksen would be an incredible coup, but it is going to be a challenge with the likes of former side Spurs, current side Brentford, and Manchester United are all thought to be after him.
If the wage budget is there to add someone like the 30 year old it would be transformative ahead of Frank Lampard’s first full season.
