Everton could be tempted to sell Anthony Gordon for £25m to Spurs

Everton could reportedly be tempted to cash in on the services of Anthony Gordon if Tottenham Hotspur submit a big bid for him.

According to Goal, given Spurs’ interest and the Toffees’ financial situation, a bid in the region of £25million may be enough for them to sell him this summer.

Antonio Conte and sporting director Fabio Paratici are admirers of the 21-year-old and believe that he can flourish under the Italian in North London.

Can’t be happening

Gordon wasn’t one of the players any Everton fan thought would be on his way out but with interest from a Champions League club, anything can happen.

He has not yet expressed a desire to leave, but things can change quickly in football, especially once an offer is made.

Spurs could also include Harry Winks as part of the deal or even use him as a direct swap for Gordon and then do a different deal for Richarlison.

The Brazilian is understood to be their priority option but they are now fancying a move for Gordon as a double swoop which has certainly come out from the left field.

The 21-year-old emerged as one of the best young attackers in the Premier League last season and Conte wants him to continue his resurgence at Spurs.

While Frank Lampard would not want to sell him, he knows that every player has a price and unfortunately for the right money, he could see him leave this summer and that could raise funds for the club to spend elsewhere.
