Journalist: Everton must demand £100m+ for Richarlison and Anthony Gordon from Tottenham

Everton will demand a total package of at least £100m from Tottenham if they want to sign Richarlison and Anthony Gordon, according to journalist Richard Buxton.

The Toffees are locked in talks with the north London club over a transfer this summer, and Sky Sports reported on June 27th that they want to sign both the Brazilian, who is their number one target, and young England ace together.

While Everton are keen to keep Gordon at all costs, Buxton shared via his personal Twitter account that any package the club receive from Spurs would have to total at least £100m unless it included one of their superstar forwards too.

“Unless that package includes on of Kulusevski, Son or Kane, they’ll need to offer up around £100m at least,” he said in response to the initial tweet that broke the story.

The Toffees are said to be demanding over £60m for Richarlison this summer from interested parties, while Gordon is seen as the next great hope of the club after his breakthrough during the 2021/22 season.

Even if Spurs came through with a £100m package, that would be an absolute bargain for them to be able to get both Richarlison and Gordon together.

Richarlison is a £60m player on his own and with the potential that Gordon has, added on to his importance to the team last season and his ceiling as a player the club should be looking for a similar amount for him too.

Ideally though, Gordon must stay. He showed his quality during a tough season during the 2021/22 campaign and chipped in with big goals and massive performances.

He’s the type of player the club need in the team to push on and progress, and losing him would be a backwards step no matter the fee involved.

Frank Lampard will know that and will be determined to keep hold of him, but the club’s financial situation makes it incredibly difficult to guarantee that will be the case.
