Journalist: Tottenham defender Joe Rodon on Everton short-list
Everton are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender, Joe Rodon, according to Alex Crook.
The TalkSport journalist said on 28 June that Rodon is on Frank Lampard’s short-list and that there could be a potential swap deal.
The Toffees have been linked with a move for Harry Winks, while Spurs are heavily interested in signing Richarlison this summer.
“We know that Frank Lampard is keen on at least one Tottenham player in Harry Winks, maybe two. I’m told Joe Rodon is also on Frank Lampard’s shortlist so there could be some kind of swap deal,” Crook told talkSPORT.
Spurs and Everton have been dominating the headlines recently.
It’s daylight clear that Richarlison is set to leave the club this summer, and Spurs are serious about landing him.
However, they are set to include players to reduce the asking price and sweeten the deal.
Interestingly, some of the players are wanted by Everton, which makes the matter interesting.
The Toffees are also reportedly keen on Steven Bergwijn and now they have registered an interest in Rodon.
The former Swansea defender doesn’t find himself in Antonio Conte’s first-team plans, but he is a fantastic young player.
He was signed by Jose Mourinho and it was thought that he could be the one for the future. The Welsh defender has dropped down the pecking order at the club and it’s time for him to move on.
His career has stalled at Spurs, and must look for opportunities elsewhere.
He could be a good addition for the club, especially if Yerry Mina moves on.
