Richarlison agrees personal terms to quit Everton and sign for Tottenham as Fabrizio Romano drops latest twist
Richarlison has moved one step closer to leaving Everton and joining Tottenham, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Guardian journalist reported via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday night (29 June) that Richarlison’s representatives have agreed personal terms with Spurs.
It is understood that a long-term deal has been agreed with the 25-year-old’s new agents, who are now waiting on Everton and Tottenham to agree a deal.
Romano adds that the Blues and Spurs are due to hold talks “soon” to negotiate a deal.
Bye-bye, Richy
Richarlison’s move to Tottenham is one that we’ve been expecting to see happen for a while so we cannot say that this has taken us by surprise.
As long as the Blues can agree a good fee with the Londoners, it looks as though this deal will go ahead and Frank Lampard will finally get some money to play around with in the transfer market.
Everton’s Financial Fair Play issues have hamstrung them for three consecutive transfer windows now so it seems as though we did have to sell Richarlison in order to make any worthwhile signings this summer.

Richarlison played a massive role in us staying in the Premier League.
Of course, he had some stinkers last season (who didn’t?) but on the whole, he’s been an asset to Goodison Park and we’re happy for him that he’ll be joining a club where he can play in the Champions League and at the top end of the Premier League.
It’ll be down to Lampard and Kevin Thelwell to replace Richarlison now.
It won’t be easy but if we’ve signed Richarlison before, surely we can find a replacement for him?
