Richarlison could undergo Tottenham medical soon as Everton set to agree deal – Fabrizio Romano

It’s a “matter of time” before Everton and Tottenham agree a deal for Richarlison to move to North London, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Writing via his personal Twitter account on Thursday morning (30 June), the 25-year-old could soon undergo a medical with Spurs as they close in on a deal.

It is understood that there’s a “full agreement” on personal terms and it won’t be long before Everton accept a deal with Tottenham for the transfer of the Brazil forward.

Gutted

Richarlison’s move away from Everton isn’t unexpected.

The former Watford attacker has been a superb player at Goodison Park over the last few years and when it mattered most last season, he stepped up more than most to help the Blues earn their survival in the Premier League.

However, every player has their price and with Everton in the financial position they’re in, they’re pretty powerless to stopping players like Richarlison from moving on.

At the end of the day, Richarlison is a player who belongs at a club playing in European football and he should get plenty of that at Tottenham next season.

Everton

Many might be pointing to the fact that Antonio Conte already has a settled front-three in North London.

However, as the World Cup will be on in November and December, the fixture congestion will be ridiculous and we’d expect Richarlison to regularly get rotated into Spurs’ attack.

He’ll thrive alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son while Dejan Kulusevski was in superb form last season after he joined Tottenham from Juventus in January.

We’re looking forward to seeing Richy do well at Tottenham but we are gutted he’s on his way.

Unfortunately, this is another price of the poor recruitment and strategy under Farhad Moshiri’s ownership.
