Tottenham hope to secure deal for Everton forward Richarlison in next 24 hours

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to reach an agreement with Everton to sign Richarlison in the next 24 hours, according to a report from Football London.

Alasdair Gold wrote on 29 June for the website that both the clubs are looking to end the saga, in order to beat the financial fair play deadline, which is 30 June.

The two clubs are locked in talks over the structure of the deal. As of now, nothing has been agreed with either the club or the player.

Fabrizio Romano, the Guardian journalist, wrote on his personal Twitter account on 29 June, that there should be no issues on agreeing personal terms.

The report from Football London adds that if the two clubs can reach an agreement on the fee before the end of that day, then the remainder of the transfer can be completed within the next few days while it will still count towards the last year of the financial fair play.

The Toffees will be desperate to secure an agreement as they are facing financial fair play issues.

Spurs have tried to include players as a part of the deal to sweeten the move, but the Toffees do not entertain such ideas.

Richarlison has grown into a cult figure at the club and he was instrumental in helping the Toffees avoid relegation last season.

The Brazilian deserves to play at a top club, and Spurs could be an attractive move for him as they can offer him Champions League football.

Richarlison netted 10 goals and laid on five assists in 30 Premier League matches, and there have been times when he singlehandedly carried the team forward in absence of several other key players through injuries.

Spurs hope that they can reach an agreement quickly and the player will link up with Antonio Conte’s squad for pre-season in the coming weeks.

Losing Richarlison will be a big blow, but it was expected. The money should be reinvested into the squad, and Frank Lampard must use it wisely.
