Frank Lampard wants to use Chelsea connections to seal Everton deal for Armando Broja

Frank Lampard wants to use his Chelsea connections to help Everton sign Armando Broja this summer, according to the Liverpool ECHO.

The Toffees are set to hold talks over a potential move for the Albanian international, as they look to replace Richarlison who has joined Spurs this summer.

Thomas Tuchel has yet to make up his mind over whether Broja will be able to leave Stamford Bridge, as he casts his eye over the striker at the start of pre-season.

West Ham and Newcastle are also in the race, with clubs queuing in case Broja becomes available.

It will very much be all about who moves first and puts the best package on the table if this was going to be a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge.

Should Tuchel want Broja to stick around in the long term, it could put Everton into the lead.

There is little chance that the Toffees can afford a permanent transfer, so this could have a loan move written all over it, especially for one year before another decision is made.

Use them.

This could be the perfect move.

Richarlison has already left the club to join Spurs, and that has left a huge hole in the squad.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was not at his best last season, and we cannot look to rely on someone as young and raw as Anthony Gordon, no matter how good he was under Lampard.

Broja was electric and powerful in his first full Premier League campaign, and he could make a frightening partnership with Calvert-Lewin with no defence able to handle those two together.

Those at Stamford Bridge will no doubt still have plenty of respect for Lampard, but many have moved on, with the likes of Roman Abramovic no longer at the club.

We are crying out for a new striker, but with financial restrictions, it could only happen if we can push through a loan move in the next month to have Broja ready and available for the entire season.
