Anthony Gordon ready to move to Newcastle United if Everton accept bid
Anthony Gordon is reportedly prepared to move to Newcastle if the Toffees accept a bid for him, according to CaughtOffside.
The report states that Newcastle are pondering a potential £35million deal for the 21-year-old impressed and that sources close to the player have informed CaughtOffside that he’d be tempted by the move to St James’ Park.
The report said: “Gordon would likely cost around £35m, but Everton have already fought off interest from Tottenham in the youngster’s signature this summer.

“Gordon would be another exciting investment for the club’s fans, and they can perhaps take some encouragement from the fact that he’s seemingly open to the move.”
“The England Under-21 international looks like he’d fit the bill for Eddie Howe’s needs in the wide positions ahead of next season, so it will be interesting to see how this progresses in the weeks ahead.”
Gordon on the move?
If Everton are to lose Gordon, it would be a huge loss for the club.
The 21-year-old has already made 49 Premier League appearances for the club scoring four goals and providing three assists since making his debut for the club in 2020.
During the tough period that the club have been through in recent seasons, the winger has been at the heart of everything the club has done right.

His heart, tenacity and energy have not gone unnoticed by the Everton faithful, and losing a player like him would be a tough pill to swallow for them.
It would also be a difficult sale for manager Frank Lampard to sanction as he has spoken glowingly about his affection for the player and what he believes he can become.
The reported fee of £35 million would be a welcome sum, especially with the financial situation the Toffees currently find themselves in, but the player Gordon has the potential to become would surely trump the idea of selling him now before he reaches those heights.
