Sky Sports pundit predicts Everton could sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin amid Armando Broja chase
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
The fact that Everton are chasing Chelsea striker Armando Broja could mean Dominic Calvert-Lewin is for sale says Kevin Campbell.
The Toffees are ready to pay £30million for the Albanian striker but face competition from the likes of West Ham, Southampton and Newcastle.
Englishman Calvert-Lewin is the club’s main strike option, especially now that fellow star Richarlison has been sold to Tottenham, but Sky Sports pundit Campbell doesn’t think the club would be willing to spend major money on signing the youngster from Stamford Bridge if he wasn’t in line for a big role.

“Look, I think what has to happen is Frank Lampard has to plan for the future,” Campbell said, speaking exclusively to Goodison News.
“He’s just lost Richarlison. Money’s come in.
“He might have been told that Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s for sale.
“You just never know. If somebody puts the money down and it allows you to really refurbish then sometimes that’s what has to happen.
“And I know it’s difficult. I’m thinking to myself – sell one but keep the other.
“But the inner workings of what’s going on in the background, I don’t know enough about the finances.
“One thing I do know, that squad needs a revamp. It really, really does need a revamp.
“And if you’re going to be bringing Broja in, what’s the point of bringing him in if he’s not going to be involved.
“You’ve got to be bringing him in and spending that money [to play].
“Of if you’re getting him on loan, he’s got to play. He’s proved he can do it.”

Calvert-Lewin is coming off arguably the worst season of his career, where he suffered with both form and fitness while the club battled relegation.
He scored the emotional winner in the 3-2 win over Crystal Palace that kept them in the Premier League, but Newcastle are apparently not put off by the £60million asking price this summer [Mirror].
So if the money is right and Lampard can bring a forward in and have cash left over perhaps there are big moves yet to happen at the position during the transfer window.
