Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is ‘keen’ to work with Everton attacker Anthony Gordon
Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is “keen” to work with Everton youngster Anthony Gordon as speculation grows over a move to St James’ Park according to The Chronicle.
It had been suggested by The Chronicle (7 July) that the two clubs “remain in dialogue” over a potential move for the 21-year-old with Dan Ashworth and Kevin Thelwell locked in talks.
It has since been revealed that Newcastle boss is eager to work with Gordon.

The Daily Mail has suggested (7 July) that the Toffees are set to offer Gordon a bumber deal to halt the advances of Newcastle.
He has to stay
The emerging transfer speculation around Gordon is getting quite concerning now.
Reports seem to be emerging from the North East quite regularly concerning Gordon and they don’t seem to be going away any time soon.
Furthermore, Newcastle are a side that are going to be hard to turn down for the Toffees and for Gordon given their financial muscle and future ambitions.
In Howe, they have one of England’s brightest football brains and it should come as a compliment to Gordon that the Newcastle boss wants to work with him.

Everton cannot lose the 21-year-old this summer for a variety of reasons.
Frank Lampard will be looking to revamp his Everton squad this summer with a focus on slightly younger players.
Everton have one of the brightest youngsters in the country in Gordon and Lampard will clearly be looking to build his team around him.
Furthermore, the backlash from Evertonians would be cataclysmic if Gordon left the club this summer.
Losing one of their best homegrown talents to a Premier League rival would be hard to take.
Let’s hope he’s going nowhere this summer.
