Everton target Armando Broja not on Chelsea pre-season flight
Chelsea striker and reported Everton target Armando Broja is not on his club’s flight for their pre-season tour.
According to Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg, the 20-year-old is wanted by the Toffees and West Ham this summer.
It’s understood that he could join the squad next week, flying out separately, but his future still remains up in the air, as things stand.
Via Twitter, Steinberg wrote, “Armando Broja not part of the Chelsea squad flying out to America today. Striker, who’s wanted by Everton and West Ham, could join up with the squad next week.”
Sign him up
Everton must take full advantage of this situation and do everything they can in order to secure the Albanian’s services.
After Richarlison’s exit, it makes it all the more important for the Toffees to rope in a replacement, even though they’ve got Dominic Calvert-Lewin leading the line for them.
Ellis Simms is another player who could be shown the door, which will only make things difficult for Frank Lampard ahead of next season.
He surely would be prioritising a move for a striker and links to Broja make sense, given the manager’s connections with Chelsea.
Hopefully, that could get him a direct track into signing the Albanian this summer and the Lampard factor may convince him to join ahead of West Ham.
The Hammers can offer him European football – something that Everton can’t so they’ve got to sell the proposal in a better way in order to tempt him to leave Stamford Bridge.
