Southampton may have found Kyle Walker-Peters replacement as Everton circle
Everton have received a major boost in pursuit of Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters, according to a report published by Daily Mail’s print edition [09 July, pg. 105].
The Toffees have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old in the ongoing transfer window in order to bolster their defensive unit ahead of the next campaign.
As per Simon Jones in the latest column for Daily Mail, the Saints have made an inquiry about the status of Manchester City youngster Issa Kaboré to possibly replace Walker-Peters.

Quality signing
Everton are coming off the back of a horrible campaign where they narrowly managed to escape relegation on matchday 37.
One of the primary reasons for the Toffees’ poor season was their defensive unit as they ended up conceding as many as 66 goals in just 38 league fixtures.
To address that issue, Everton have already signed centre-back James Tarkowski on a free transfer after his contract with Burnley came to an end.

The signing of someone like Walker-Peters will be another step in solving the defensive crisis at Goodison Park as not only he is still very young, but he has ample amount of experience in the Premier League.
The right-back has been a Southampton player ever since moving from Tottenham Hotspur in a permanent deal worth £11.97 million in the summer of 2020.
Overall, Walker-Peters has represented his current club in 82 matches across all competitions where he has managed to score two goals and provided seven assists [Transfermarkt].
Everton will be watching this very closely.
