Everton midfielder Einar Iversen signs new deal to stay at Goodison Park
Everton midfielder Einar Iversen has signed a new contract at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have confirmed the deal on their official website on Sunday (10 July) that the 21-year-old has agreed to extend a one-year deal after battling hard to recover from injuries.
The box-to-box midfielder suffered a long-term knee problem in a Premier League 2 match against Arsenal last season and only returned to full fitness last week.

Top talent
The Norwegian is a highly-rated young talent who is drawing inspiration from fellow Everton Under-21 player Tyler Onyango.
The youngster has expressed his relief and excitement at the same time after being informed of his renewed deal. It is now up to him to develop rapidly and get into the senior side.
He has been capped twice for the Norway Under-21s. The midfielder is at the club since the age of 16 and captained Paul Tait’s Under-18s on multiple occasions.
Iversen was a regular in the club’s Premier League 2 team and on a run of 19 straight games when he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in March 2021.
It seems, he is at the cusp of breaking into the senior side at some point if he continues his development, and that should be his challenge going forward.
The midfield is one area where Frank Lampard needs to bolster this summer. The Toffees have added James Tarkowski to their squad on a free transfer but more signings are expected.
