Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks to move away from Goodison Park

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is looking for a move away from Goodison Park, according to The Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported on their online version on 10 July that the Toffees striker could follow Richarlison out of Goodison Park this summer.

Frank Lampard will be intent on bringing in reinforcements in the forward department if Calvert-Lewin leaves.

The Toffees have been linked with a move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja, with the Blues setting an asking price of around £30m for the young attacker.

No way

Everton have already lost Richarlison this summer who moved to Tottenham Hotspur and losing Calvert-Lewin would be a catastrophic blow for the club.

The England striker struggled for form and fitness last season (2021-22), but he is still a top asset to the club.

It would deliver a wrong message if the Toffees are forced to sell Calvert-Lewin as well.

At the same time, the Toffees are finding it really hard to add new players to the squad. James Tarkowski has been the only new addition, and he has joined on a free transfer.

Bolstering the forward department is necessary. Cenk Tosun left the club to join Besiktas while Moise Kean has no future at the Merseyside club.

It leaves Calvert-Lewin as the only striker at the club, and Lampard needs to bring at least one more striker into the team.

Broja, who impressed last season on loan at Southampton, would be a superb addition, but surely it makes very little sense if he is to arrive as a replacement for Calvert-Lewin.
