Newcastle interest in Alexander Isak could see them cool interest in Everton ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Newcastle are reportedly considering a move for Alexander Isak which could see them cooling interest in Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

According to The Telegraph in the afternoon of July 12, the Magpies are considering a £50million+ swoop to land the highly-coveted Real Sociedad.

The same report talks about their interest in Calvert-Lewin, but they have been put off by the Toffees’ valuation of the England striker.

Given the interest in Isak, it’s clear that the super rich club are now turning their focus on him and away from Goodison Park.

After Richarlison’s sale, losing Calvert-Lewin in the same window would be devastating and the club would not consider it.

However, if the player wanted a move away then there’s not much that they could do if the right offer comes in.

But, with Newcastle looking elsewhere and Arsenal already having signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, the market for Calvert-Lewin does seem to be cooling, as things stand.

This is a massive boost for Frank Lampard and Everton as he certainly wants his best striker to stay at the club as he looks to rebuild this team.

He can bring in new players just to compliment him and we’re sure that we’re going to see a different Calvert-Lewin next season firing on all cylinders.

The Toffees are also eyeing Armando Broja and have been handed a huge boost towards signing him, which could mean that a two-striker system could be on the cards for next season.
