Jarrad Branthwaite Everton exit could open door for Rodrigo Becao Goodison Park arrival

Jarrad Branthwaite has been linked with a move to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven and that could open the door for Rodrigo Becao to join Everton.

It has been reported by Italian media outlet Tuttosport (13 July) that Everton are showing the most interest in the Brazilian centre-back, who currently plays for Udinese.

A move for the 26-year-old could now come to fruition with the Daily Mail reporting (13 July) that the 20-year-old Branthwaite is closing in on a loan agreement with PSV.

If Branthwaite does move to the Dutch side then it is likely that Lampard will need to bolster his defensive options.

James Tarkowski has arrived at Goodison already but another central defender will surely be required if the 20-year-old does leave the Toffees.

Everton’s interest in Becao is certainly one to watch in the coming weeks, with the 26-year-old potentially coming at a slightly cut price due to his contract Udinese contract entering its final two years.

Lampard and Kevin Thelwell need to kick on with their summer business with plenty of names being linked to Goodison Park.

Morgan-Gibbs white is a name that is continually linked to the Toffees and could well be Lampard’s next addition should they strike a deal with Wolves for the 22-year-old.

Amadou Onana is another name that has emerged in recent days in what would be a solid signing for the Toffees.

Evertonians will be desperate for some more numbers to come through the front door at Goodison Park after flirting dangerously close with relegation last season.

So far, the Toffees’ relegation rivals Leeds have really shown Everton how to react to a relegation scrap.

Let’s hope that busier few weeks lie ahead.
