Chelsea open to sale of Everton target Levi Colwill

Chelsea could reportedly sell the highly-rated Everton target Levi Colwill this summer who has garnered interest from a number of clubs.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal, Leicester, Southampton and Crystal Palace are among few clubs keeping tabs on the 19-year-old.

With Chelsea pursuing Kalidou Koulibaly, Nathan Ake and Presnel Kimpembe and already closing in on two of them, they could sanction the sale of the young defender this summer.

Only at the right price

The teenager has racked up senior team experience but in the Championship and not the Premier League.

As we all know, the English top flight can be a completely different ball game and it would take him some time to adapt.

At least for another year, Frank Lampard may not consider him as a legitimate first-team option so if they’re planning for the future then it makes sense to have him on board.

However, given the interest in his services, he’s unlikely to be available on the cheap so the club must look at alternatives.

In case they get him in their desired budget then, well and good.

Colwill has the potential to be a first teamer at Everton and move on to great things if he keeps improving as he has in the past.

The Toffees need another defender who can strengthen the first team so there are other names they should be prioritising over Colwill.
