Everton signing Benjamin Bourigeaud will bring different dimension to midfield
Everton are interested in making a move for Rennes midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud this summer, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
The Toffees are in the market to sign players to strengthen the squad after a dismal campaign where they narrowly managed to escape relegation.
For this purpose, they’ve been linked with a number of players and reportedly, they are now evaluating the possibility of signing the 28-year-old.
However, Everton are facing competition from the likes of league rivals Leicester City and Fiorentina for the signature of Bourigeaud who has entered the final year of his contract at Rennes.
Versatile Midfielder
Even though defensive reinforcement has been a massive talking point for Everton this summer, it is important that they hold their midfield requirements in the same consideration.
The lack of consistency within their midfield allowed them to be easily bypassed in the previous campaign where they ended the season with the fifth-worst defensive record in the league competition [Premier League].
